About

I am an interdisciplinary social scientist. I blend the spatial perspective of geographic research with an anthropological approach to understanding how experts and publics reason about collective problems. My research focuses on economic politics – the styles and techniques of economic argumentation through which collective decisions are made – a topic that transects my work on cities and finance.

I am a research fellow at the Laboratoire Techniques Territoires Sociétés (École des Ponts ParisTech, Université Gustave Eiffel) and an affiliated researcher with the Hau of Finance project (Department of Cultural Heritage, University of Bologna). I also teach with Boris Samuel (IRD) in the African studies program at Sciences Po.

I hold a PhD in City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley.
